- When I was a kid, my best friend, Jane, was
certain that she would become a nurse, - and she did.
3As for me, I thought I wanted to be
- or a singer in a rock band
4Started out with things stacked in my
favour
- My dad was a pretty famous scientist
- Dr. D. Harold Copp
- -He was also a wonderful man.-
5Mom was beautiful, kind and practically perfect
- Here are the three daughters,
- Mary
- Carolyn and
- me (can you tell Im the baby?)
6When I was five, my father was the scientific
secretary for the United Nations Atoms for Peace
Conference.
- Dad, Mom and I lived in New York and later
Geneva. I was treated like a little princess by
the conference delegates and literally had the
time of my life!
7In 1950 my dad came here from California to help
found UBCs Medical School.
- Our home sweet home
- was a West Coast post-
- and-beam structure
- designed by Ron Thom.
- Overlooking Spanish
- Banks, it was absolutely
- the coolest place to grow
- up!

Actually its just been two years
My little house
not quite there yet
