These items go inside your Blue Recycling Bin.
Wine bottles, pickle jars, soup cans, pet food
containers, soda pop cans, pie tins, soda pop
bottles, milk jugs, laundry bottles, margarine
tubs, ketchup bottles, household batteries,
milk and juice cartons, aerosol and paint cans.

Category 2 Newspaper/Mixed Paper
White and colored paper, computer paper, junk
mail, magazines and catalogues, telephone books,
paper grocery bags, flyers, pasta and cereal
boxes.

Corrugated Cardboard
These items go under- neath the Blue Bin. Moving
or Shipping Boxes You CANNOT have boxes like
pizza boxes that are contaminated with food, or
boxes that are wax coated.

What is Compositing?
Another way to cut down on the amount of
garbage. Some examples of things that can be
composted are lawn clippings, apple cores,
orange peels and vegetable rinds. People can
compost these things by placing them in a
special box outside where they break down into a
dark, thick, dirt-like material called compost.

• Reusing items keeps them from becoming trash
• Get more than one use out of the items that you
  have!
