19Forum on University Innovations and Global Health
UAEM Penn-Wide Forum An interdisciplinary
discussion of the potential for university
research to address global health needs
20One Year Later Lessons Learned
- Faculty CARE about these issues, and by simply
engaging them you may quickly find some of your
greatest allies. - The breadth of perspective gained through an
interdisciplinary approach is vital to the
success of a campaign. - The power of open dialogue cannot be
underestimated. One of the most important roles
a UAEM campus chapter can play is to foster such
dialogue among parties who may not otherwise
engage one another regarding these issues.
21THE END
22One Final, Important Point
23Sources of Funding
- AMSA Local Project Grant up to 600
- AMA Ethics in Action Grant 5000
- Supportive faculty with discretionary funds
- Student group funding pools within each school
involved (interdisciplinarity helps in this sense
as well) - Graduate/Professional Student Associations (as
well as looking within each graduate program)
