• A mixture is a combination of several elements
  that together, make a whole.
• To represent the total amount of mixture

Organizing the Problem

• Think of putting together a puzzle.
• How did you start?
• - Did you take one piece out of the box at a
  time?
• - Did you dump all the pieces out and start with
  the corners?
• Using a chart to solve a word problem is like
  putting together a puzzle youve got to
  organize the pieces first!
