3OBJECTIVES
- To strengthen programme management capacity of
the Red Crescents branches to meet needs of
vulnerable groups through workshops and
on-the-job trainings. - To introduce community development strategy in
Red Crescent programmes. - Increase awareness of 350,000 community members
through information and dissemination campaigns
on the Movements values and Red Crescent
branches activities at grass root level. - To strengthen sustainability of Red Crescent
services at branch and regional center levels
through development of small-scale income
generation projects and local fundraising
activities.

- A1.Conduct a preliminary assessment of activities
and - capacities of six pilot branches
- A2.Conduct a national workshop to introduce the
project - and its objectives
- A3.Help branches repair their offices and provide
them - with essential furniture and equipment, including
Internet - connection.
- A4.Establish contacts with local authorities to
encourage - them to provide support to branches.
- A5.Training on project planning, management and
- reporting (narrative and financial) for branch
staff - and volunteers.
- A6.Organize computer courses for branch key staff

dissemination. 4,667 -health awareness sessions
and campaigns. 22,320 -people increased
awareness of the Movements Fundamental
Principles through 1,300 sessions. 7,167
community members were trained in First Aid. 54
films about the Red Crescent work were
broadcasted by a local TV Company
