What is a HRA?
  • A Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) is an
    account funded by Troy University health
    insurance premiums that will reimburse you for
    eligible medical expenses not otherwise insured.
  • You are eligible to receive benefits in your
    second plan year of Troy University health
    insurance.
  • It covers you and your dependents, such as your
    spouse or child.

How Does It Work?
  • Its easy!
  • To earn HRA funds, a beginning balance of 1,500
    for family coverage or 750 for single coverage
    is reduced by your claims paid during your first
    year on the health plan.
  • New employees or employees enrolling in the Troy
    University health plan after January 1st of each
    year will have their HRA contribution prorated
    based on the number of months remaining in that
    year.
  • 75 of any amount not used during the plan year
    will be carried forward into your HRA for use
    during the next year.

How Does It Work?
  • At the beginning of the next year, you will get a
    statement showing your new balance for the plan
    year.
  • Each year that you are enrolled in the health
    insurance plan, you will have the opportunity to
    accrue monies to add to your HRA for the next
    year.

How Does It Work?
  • Once an eligible expense is incurred, you will
    file the claim with Flexible Corporate Plans by
    downloading a claim form from our website at
    www.flexcorp.com and submitting the claim form
    along with a copy of the receipt. You will find
    this form under the download forms menu on the
    left hand side and then selecting the form
    labeled HRA Reimbursement Form.

Plan Highlights
  • Employees are eligible in their second plan year
    of the Troy University health insurance plan.
  • Plan year begins on January 1st and ends on
    December 31st.
  • 75 of your HRA account balance will roll over
    into the next year as long as you maintain
    coverage in the Troy University Health Insurance
    Plan.
  • The maximum balance that may be accumulated is
    1,500 for single plans and 3,000 for family
    plans.
