• Ensure that the privacy of our veterans and
  employees is protected
• Ensure that VA electronic systems and
  transactions are secure.

• Proposed Responsibilities Include
• Policy Creation
• Conduct Research with other Federal Agencies to
  determine what Federal wide policies and
  practices exist to govern electronic business
• Identify Existing VA Policies
• Determine a set of Policies and Practices to best
  govern electronic business for VA
• Develop an EVA Policy Framework
• Policy Coordination and Distribution
• Develop a schedule for the release of policy
  based on the EVA framework
• Coordinate the initial vetting and concurrence on
  all policies and ensure that polices are released
  timely with proper distribution.
