3What we talk about
We talk about how to make the school a better
place. And make votes on what we should change in
this school. We made a dissention and thought we
could make a magazine. We also chose to make wet
play more entertaining. We mean like top trumps,
and much more. You can help the school council by
bringing in your old toys. example board games,
top trumps and other exciting things you like and
that other people will like. At least a week ago
the school council went on the field to litter
pick with Birmingham city council and tried to
make the field a more clean and tidy place. It
was really fun but in a way it was gross, we
found lots of litter and the worst was a dead
bird (EWWW!)

How to play You will need at least 2 players,
this is hang man. The idea of the game is to
guess letters from A to Z. If you get 10 letters
wrong you have lost the game. Every time the
player gets a letter wrong you have to draw a
line. When you have guessed the word you have
won. Your word can be as long as you want.

18Year 5 adventure
21st January 2008 Â Dear Parent/Guardian, Â ReÂ
Adventure Weekend for Year 5Â Friday 16th May
2008. Â You may know that we organise annual
adventure weekends for Year 5. Â Traditionally
the weekends have been in Wales. Unfortunately
the cost of the Wales trip has spiralled and has
become too expensive. Â I have now arranged for a
weekend at Bockleton Outdoor Education Centre for
the weekend of 16th 18th May 2008. Â The cost
will be 130.00 to include transport, food,
accommodation, all equipment and
instruction. Â This is just an initial letter to
give you notice of the trip.  I am visiting
Bockleton in two weeks time and will finalise
details of activities etc and will write to you
immediately before the Easter holidays with a
return slip if you would like your child to join
us. This will require a 10 non returnable
deposit. Â The school policy is that children who
receive free school meals will pay one half of
the cost ie 65.00.  In the mean time, you
might like to visit the Bockleton website on
www.bockleton.bham.org.uk to see the centre and
the range of opportunities offered.  If you do
not have internet access, the office staff will
be pleased to show the site and print information
for you do not hesitate to let them know. Â If
I can assist with any further information, please
do not hesitate to contact Mr Barnett. Â Â Â Â
