HONOR
SOCIETY
2National Art Honor Society is an honor society
for outstanding art students. Its expressed
purpose is to advance the professional
development of its members, promoting art
education, encouraging innovation and creativity,
and providing a forum for the exchange of ideas
among its members. It is a club that is designed
to recognize those students who have shown
outstanding ability in art.
3To Join
You must have completed at lest ½ a credit of an
art class (digital design, portfolio, drawing and
painting, or photography) or will be completing
one within the year

You must have had no lower than a B (80) in that
class at any time.

You must attend at least 6 weekly meetings a
quarter.

Failure to meet any of these standards will
result ineligibility to join the group of if
already a member you being expelled from the
group.
4MEETINGS
Meetings are every Wednesday after school in C201
Meetings start at 305 and usually end around 4
The meetings are conducted by the president vice
president and NAHS officers.
In the meetings we discuss upcoming events,
critique past events, plan field trips, fund
raisers and participate in various art realated
activities
5OFFICERS
The NAHS Is entirely student run. There are 7
officers.
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer,
and Two Historians

The President and Vice president are elected at
the end of ever year and must be a inducted member
The remaining officers are elected at the
beginning of the year. The positions are open to
old, new, inducted and non inducted members.

If you have met all of the qualifications to join
NAHS. At the end of the year you get to inducted
Being inducted means you are an official member
of the National Art Honor Society.
Members sit outside and complete a piece of art
to be signed that night at the ceremony
Inducted and and new members also make a flower
out of an old paint brush to exchange during
Induction.
7Activities
Being a member of NAHS does not just mean going
to meetings and induction there are countless
other activities that we either participate in or
sponsor each year, here are just a few of them.
