Atmospheric Modeling

• Accurate modeling of terrestrial atmosphere is
  needed to characterize
• atmospheric attenuation at all frequencies.
• Many atmospheric models for mm- and submm exist,
  the most recent used
• in astronomy are
• ATM (Cernicharo 1985, Pardo et al.
  2001)
• ATRAN (Lord et al. 1992)
• AM (Paine et al. 2004)

MOLIERE was developed (and is used) in the
atmospheric science community.
