Develop and help to implement a Pembina River
Watershed Management Plan
GOALS

• Develop soil and water management measures that
  prevent economic losses and sustain agriculture.
• Promote concept that water management is an issue
  of land management.
• Enhance water quality
• Promote watershed management education.
• Ensure adequate water supply to meet in-stream
  flow needs, as well as domestic and agricultural
  use.
• Collect hydrologic data and monitor flows.
• Maintain and enhance wildlife habitat and
  diversity throughout the basin.
• Enhance recreational opportunities, including
  eco-tourism and agri-tourism, and promote
  economic development of the region.
