• Americas Health Insurance Plans is a national
  trade association representing nearly 1,300
  member companies providing health benefits to
  more than 200 million Americans.
• The Immunization Registry Task Force reports to
  the AHIP Vaccines and Immunization Work Group,
  which has directed the industry Immunization
  Initiative since 1997.

Goals

• Provide health plan participants with current
  information on state and national immunization
  registry programs 
• Share health insurance plans' immunization
  registry experiences and initiatives 
• Explore collaborative opportunities for promoting
  provider participation with registries (i.e.,
  messaging) and 
• Build awareness of health insurance plan
  participation in immunization registries.
