    Code required to have Police or Security
    Department
  • Non-compliance issues related to security
    throughout District
  • Utilize all existing resources to identify issues
    for 04/05 school year

Department Progress Update

  • Accepted and certified into the CA POST program
    on 07/01/2003
  • Participation in CA POST reimbursement programs
    for law enforcement agencies throughout the state
  • Official recognition on October 16, 2003 in San
    Jose when the POST Commission conducts its
    quarterly business meeting
  • Complies with Penal Code 830.32 and Ed Code 38000
    which mandate a Police or Security Department

  • Funding is the same as last year but is augmented
    by a school safety grant that is allowing us to
    purchase safety equipment for all District sites

    candidates for 4 vacant Police Officer positions
  • Interviews to be conducted on candidates for 8
    vacant Campus Patrol Officer positions beginning
    next week
  • Total of 7 Peace Officers and 16 Campus Patrol

    of Police and Safety
