6Extensions for ISO 19139
- The ISO 19139 XML schema requires all
intermediate ISO 19115 class/data type levels,
starting with MD_Metadata (e.g.
MD_Data_Identification, CI_Citation, EX_Extent
etc.) - Linage (dataLinage) is element of DQ_Quality
which also requires DQ_Scope with scope (dqScope)
and subsequently level (scpLvl) as mandatory
elements which are not part of the ISO core
metadata - MD_CRS is
- not really suitable for defining a CRS
(coordinate system definition is missing) - not supported directly in ISO 19139
- Schema for a CRS catalogue XML file is supplied
which allows for user defined CRSs - CRS in referenceSystemInfo may reference the CRS
catalogue file
