Almasa Holdings
Almasa Holdings has four group companies
comprising Almasa IT Distribution, The Hiring
Solutions Company, Almasa Business Solutions and
Performance Systems. Almasa started out in
computer hardware distribution but expanded into
all other areas of information technology
including manufacturing and assembly, software
development, networking solutions, hardware
repair and maintenance, software distribution, as
well as online hiring solutions. Almasa Holdings
employs over 275 people with some 40 different
nationalities across its four member-companies. Al
masa Holdings operates in more than 20 countries,
including the Middle East and North Africa. The
group has offices in five countries, with the
biggest being its headquarters in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates.

A Corporate Success Story
Almasas rapid development in just ten years has
been acclaimed as one of the major corporate
success stories in recent history. Mehdi Amjads
pioneering spirit and desire to make the Middle
East self-sufficient in all its IT needs and his

Locations
Almasa IT Distribution operates state-of-the-art
warehouses with in-country services and
facilities. Apart from its main logistics hub in
Jebel Ali Free Zone, the company provides
in-country services in Dubai, Riyadh, and Kuwait
in order to guarantee reliable logistics support,
rapid response, delivery and localised in-country
services to customers in the Middle East and
North Africa.

Our Staff
Almasa IT Distribution currently employs over 255
staff in the region. Our staff provides expertise
in the areas of sales, product management,
marketing, finance, administration, information
technology, technical support and logistics.

Sales Account Management
Our field sales teams are supported by our call
centre and in-house sales support staff to
address our target channel partners. All sales
staff are trained extensively to handle
resellers PC, network and peripheral inquiries
and to process customer orders quickly and
efficiently. The field sales staff maintains
close personal contact with customers. In
addition to providing product and sales advice,
their role is to work intimately with their
customers to maximize the resellers sales
opportunities and help grow their business.

Product Management Procurement
The members of our product management
procurement team provide valuable insight into
technical, sales and marketing opportunities to
support resellers to increase their perspective
business. They are able to respond to market
changes quickly to ensure consistent pricing and
availability of specialty as well as commodity
items.

MarCom
Almasa IT Distributions MarCom team works
closely with other departments to initiate
various marketing programs, ranging from vendor
and channel promotions to campaigns and brand
awareness in order to increase vendors
opportunities. The team produces regular
reseller communications including product
catalogues, fax, mail and e-mail shots to ensure
that our channel partners are kept up-to-date and
to assist in generating sales for the reseller
channel. The MarCom team serves as a centralised
communications hub for all subsidiaries across
the region and ensures that all MarCom related
strategies and activities are adopted in the
local markets according to the overall strategy.

Logistics / SCM
The warehouse and despatch departments in Jebel
Ali Free Zone ensure that inventory is securely
stored and easily accessible when required. Our
despatch centre is monitored using
state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest

goods for shipment. Almasa IT Distributions
wholly owned delivery fleet ensures that goods
are wherever they should be on time, every time.

Our Business Strategy
Almasa IT Distribution responds quickly to global

operates state-of-the-art warehouses with
in-country services and facilities in Jebel Ali
Free Zone (main logistics hub), Dubai, Riyadh,
and Kuwait. Stocks are kept in these regional

Value Sales Business
In addition to Almasa IT Distributions core
business (volume distribution), the value sales
business was established in 2002 with the focus
and commitment to provide service par-excellence
for value added services in the region for
Infrastructure, Information Assurance and
Communication Solutions. In this endeavour, we
consistently deliver high quality technical
support coupled with expert Logistics to fulfil
the differing requirements of the market and
demands for quick product turnaround. Under
value sales we provide a number of services to
the channel partners (Corporate resellers /
system integrators) and strengthen their
solutions and service offerings to their
respective customers (end-users). This enables
channel partners to move up in the value chain
without making substantial investment in
technology and manpower. We also provide the
principles to reach the market along with

B2B Portal
Almasa IT Distribution operates a B2B Portal /
website that allows customers to access
individual product information and stock
clearance as well as to place orders. Almasa IT
Distribution strives to give its channel partners
the tools that make business easy, and for this
reason we are also adding a stock-availability
module to our B2B Portal. The e-commerce software
helps to better facilitate the sales process
between resellers and consumers. To ensure
continued growth and serve our growing customer
base, our entire operation is backed by a
tailor-made ERP system that matches our
distribution model. The ERP system as the
backbone of the B2B Portal integrates accounting,
product, stock and customer procedures to allow
smooth information flow among our regionally
networked operations. This ensures communication
with our customers and suppliers in a swift,
timely and accurate manner.
