  • Project management
  • Engineering services
  • Minor mechanical work
  • Pipeline cleaning
  • Geometry surveys
  • Intelligent Pigging
  • Testing
  • Defect assessment
  • Advice on pipeline repair
  • Pipeline Integrity Management (Systems)

12
Offshore Inspection project
  • Oil Production and water injection pipelines from
    satellite platform to satellite platform.
  • Never been pigged totally - No launchers /
receivers - One cut mitred bends -
    11 non-barred T-joints - High WT (gt20mm)
    WT variations
  • Work carried outDe-commissioning, launcher /
    receiver (design/fabrication),cleaning, gauging,
    inspection and assessment.

Cleaning Results
  • Colour of water changed from black to dark grey
and light grey before each cleaning pig arrived.
  • Duration of water colour change indicates the
    cleanliness of the line.
  • Bidirectional stud-pigs are very effective in
    cleaning/scraping the pipe wall surface.
  • Most effective pigs to remove deposits are heavy
    brush foam pigs.
  • Combination of both led to very successful
    cleaning operations.

19
Cleaning Results
  • Types of deposits removed per line
  • Scale
  • Sand
  • Wax
  • Rust
  • Carbon
  • Corrosion product
  • Deposit samples have been collected and
    handed-over
  • for analysis.
