What is Physics?

• The most basic of all sciences
• The study of motion,forces,energy,
  electricity,waves, light, sound, nuclear
  reactions, and much more!

• The physical world only has a few basic rules
• To know what is happening you need to understand
  the rules
• Ex. gravity
• Ex. walk in the park as either a Botanist or as
  you
• Physics is not in the pages of your book only,
• It is everywhere!!

• You only appreciate the game if you understand it
• You learn the rules in lecture
• You keep score in lab
• Who is going to understand the rules and score of
  physics?

• We breathe the same atoms that the dinosaurs did

  before the sun!
