Introduction

• Objectives
• To instrument a Freddy S.T.A.T and be able to
  measure angular movements and pressure (applied
  to its extremities).
• To select the appropriate sensors based on a cost
  effective approach.
• To develop a computer based system using a
  Labview platform. Display the measured parameters
  and setup data.

Sensor Systems

• The mechanical joints were retrofitted with high
  precisions potentiometers which were chosen after
  a month of researching different technologies and
  sensors.
• A innovative pneumatic system envisioned by
  Roberta Guerra was designed that can detect
  minute changes in pressure.
