1
You go to Australia on Your Own
  • Use the following clues and complete the
corresponding tasks to find your friend.

2
Job Titles
  • Translator The translator will translate the
clues given throughout the web quest. In
Australia they speak English, but they have their
own slang. Use the Australian Dictionary to
    decipher the clues.
  • Geographer The geographer will determine the
best travel method. And why that is the best
    travel method.

3
Job Titles
  • Research Specialist The research specialist will
be in charge of organizing and gathering
additional information that may be needed. The
clues will be at certain areas in Australia. It
is the research specialists job to get
    information about each place.
  • Builder For each task, there will be something
to create. The builder will be in charge of
finding a way to construct the item. Then the
builder will guide the group in constructing the
    item.

4
Tasks
  • Everyone will keep a journal and record their
    findings.
  • After you complete your individual job, you will
need to debrief your group of the information you
    have found.

5
Tasks
  • When all tasks are completed the group will
create a Sydney travel guide. The travel guide
will contain all journals from each group member.
It must have pictures of everything constructed.
  • Each group will present information found to the
entire class. Each presentation will be from 5-10
minutes. Groups will show photos and all created
    items will be on display.

6
Task 1

mode, ex cost, helps keep you in disguise, etc.
  • Research Specialist. Use this site to compile 2
fun facts about the place you are visiting.
  • Builder. Make one of these as a group. Determine
the best materials and make sure it can hold up
    to two pounds.

cannot hold two pounds, you will not be able to
    receive your next clue.
