5 A Typical Day
- 730-845 Start your day with breakfast in your
hotel - 900-1200 Enjoy a morning activity such as city
sightseeing - 1200-100 Lunch. Your group may choose to take a
tour managers suggestion for the best pizza in
town or browse a local market and picnic in the
park - 100-300 Use an ACIS Walking Tour to explore a
museum or sight - 300-600 Free time to shop for souvenirs,
explore local neighborhoods or relax in a town
square - 630-730 Time for dinner
- 730-1100 An evening activity such as a boat
ride, a show or a concert will keep you
entertained or enjoy activities as organized
by your group leader.

- DAY 2 ARRIVE IN ROME
- We should arrive in the late morning or early
afternoon. After meeting our tour manager and
checking in to our hotel, we will have time to
explore parts of Rome not on our scheduled
itinerary and get our first taste of this amazing
city! - DAY 3 A FULL DAY TOURING ROME
- We start the day with a panoramic sightseeing
drive through the city with our local Roman tour
guide. - Our local guide will lead us through the Vatican
Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and the incredible
St. Peters Basilica. - Later in the day we will visit the Colosseum and
the grassy ruins of the ancient Forum. - Enjoy a pizza dinner, Roman style

- DAY 4 OUR FINAL DAY IN ROME
- Today we continue our exploration of Rome. As a
group we will decide on our itinerary for the
day. We could visit the Pantheon, the Piaza de
Spagna the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain,
Palatine Hill, maybe even Vesuvias. You will also
have some free time explore on your own as well.

- DAY 5 ASSISI FLORENCE
- We leave Rome early this morning for a drive
through the beautiful Umbrian countryside to
Assisi. - We explore the scenic hillside town of Assisi,
the home of St. Francis, founder of the
Franciscan order of Friars. In the Basilica of
St. Francis which is above his tomb, we will see
the beautiful frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue.
This is such a gorgeous little community, you
wont want to leave, but its off to Florence! - We leave Assisi and drive through Tuscany and
some of the most scenic countryside in the world
to the magnificent capital of Tuscany, Florence. - After dinner we should have some free time to
explore Florence by night.

- DAY 6 FLORENCE
- Joined by our local, Florence tour guide, we will
visit the splendid Duomo, see the Ghibertis
famous baptistry doors, Santa Croce and the
Piazza della Signoria-the political center of
this great Renaissance city. - We will visit the Galleria dellAcademia to see
the original Michelangelos David. - During your free afternoon, learn about
Florences merchant history with a stroll across
the Ponte Vecchio, perhaps visit the famous
Uffizzi Gallery which houses works of art from
Giotto, Botticelli, Rubens, Leonardo DaVinci,
Veronese, and many more works covering the period
from 12200 to 1800 A.D., or simply stroll the
city!

- DAY 7 PADUA VENICE
- We leave Florence, driving across the plains of
Veneto, stopping in Padua, famous for its
university where Galileo once taught. Here we
will see the Basilica of St. Anthony, crowned
with its seven cupolas. - After a stop in Padua, its on to Venice, the
queen of the Adriatic. - Depending on when we arrive in Venice, after
getting situated in our hotel, there should be
time for exploring with Ms. Cocetti as our tour
guide.

- DAY 8 VENICE
- The ACIS walking tour of Venice will take us
through St. Marks square to see the basilica of
St. Mark and by the Bridge of Sighs, which
connected the old prisons of Venice to the
interrogation rooms of the Doges Palace. - We will visit the gothic Palazzo Ducale, once the
home of the Doge, or Duke of Venice. - We will ride along the Grand Canal, listening for
the singing Gondoliers as we cross under the
Rialto Bridge. - During our free time, we can explore Venices
network of canals, bridges, and winding streets,
absent of automobile traffic. - DAY 9 VENICE
- If we have at least 15 sign up for the trip, we
will be spending an extra day in Venice. Ms.
Cocetti will act as our tour guide and help us
plan our itinerary for that day. Otherwise we
will be flying home, so encourage yor friends to
sign-up!
