- Based on a flat fee for GB stored on the backup
server/tapes per year - recalculating charges because of change in
licensing - additional charge for off-siting tapes to Rantoul
14Implementation
- Backup service is targeted towards IT Pros, who
will provide support to their users - Re-write support documentation
- Create community-based support system
- Convert existing customers to new pricing
structure first - Hoping to offer new model this semester
15Storage WAN
- Tested FC/IP bridges over the ICCN network
- demonstrated that they could sync storage over a
1000-km network - there wasn't enough time to tweak for
performance, but results are promising - Potential uses
