Charter Duties

• to ensure proper safety training/documents are
  provided (and available) to staff, students, and
  visitors.
• to provide a forum to discuss safety issues.
• to review (annually) and keep current the LEPP
  Safety Handbook.
• to prepare and keep current all safety documents
  required by the University.
• to assist in implementing campus-wide safety
  programs mandated by the University and work with
  Cornell safety professionals to resolve safety
  issues at LEPP.
• to review safety aspects of new (or significant
  changes in) large-scale/safety critical
  experiments/projects/facility modifications.

Charter Duties

• to provide training for circumstances unique to
  our Laboratory
• to participate in safety audits of LEPP
  operations as required.
• to conduct annual safety inspections of the
  entire LEPP and ensure unsafe conditions/practices
  are corrected.
• to respond to safety-related policy and/or
  compliance questions.
• to provide an on-site safety presence at LEPP and
  serve as a good example to the community.
