2Mrs. Eigner
Mrs. Eigner is a great teacher. She enjoys
spending time with her husband Al and two
daughters Jeanne and Audrey. She also enjoys
reading, writing, and arts crafts.
3Mr. Tasch
Mr. Tasch is a great teacher. His wife is Daisy,
and he has has a 2-year old son Mikai. He enjoys
spending time with his family and two large
Alaskan Malamutes. He also likes, skateboarding,
snowboarding, basketball, running, reading,
watching movies, and being in the outdoors.

- Almost immediately after we get into our
classroom, we sit down for planners - Planners are for writing what homework we have in
them to remember what homework we have at home. - This is a small amount of homework compared to
later in the year.
7Homework
-Students are expected to work on 50-60 minutes
of homework per night. -Workshop time is provided
in school to work on a variety of assignments and
projects. -Assignment responsibilities can be
found on the Tasch/Eigner homepage.
8Block 1 and 2
- Block one or two is either RWW/Social studies
with Mrs. Eigner, or Math/Science with Mr.T

- For library, there is library checkout, and
library class. - In library checkout, we check-out, renew, or
return books. - In library class we either learn about books, and
where they are placed in the library, or we
listen to the teacher read a book to us.
20Music
- In music, we learn about the different notes,
sing songs, and sometimes get to play instruments
like hand drums or xylophones.
21Spanish
- Every year the amity institute hires a Spanish
teacher to come educate the whole school about
their language and culture.

22Art cart
- Once a month, our class gets to do an art
project. The medium we use varies. The art
projects are always much different from the last
project.
23Gym class
24Choice day and gym with Mr.T
- On some days of the week, we have gym with Mr.T.
- On Thursday, if you have all of your homework
turned in, Mr.T will take you up to the gym, and
the students that were able to go decide on a
game to play. Usually we play nation ball, where
basically, everyone just chucks balls at each
other.
25Mid-day meeting
- The mid-day meeting is a time when the whole
class gathers together. It is also a snack time. - We greet each other for the day,and say the peace
pledge. We talk about what the day has been
like, and share current events.

28Read aloud
- Read aloud is the time when Mrs. Eigner reads a
chapter book aloud to both Tasch and Eigner
classes. Right now she is reading Old Yeller

29Readcess
- Readcess is a time to read for a good thirty-five
minutes. - Reading conferences
- Book hooks
30Lunch
- We eat a very late lunch at 1245.
31Recess
- During recess, the games that we play the most
often include - Football,
- Soccer,
- And kickball.
32Dismissal
- At the end of the day, a group of kids get sent
down to the K/1 house to pick up the little kids,
and take them to their bus. - Then other kids clean the floors, pick up chairs,
and get the room ready for the custodians to
clean.
