Initial Setup for Pegasus Home Pages

• The first step is to prepare a special Web page
  directory in your Pegasus account. This is a
  one-time-only procedure before putting Web pages
  in a new Pegasus account.
• Login to your Pegasus account
• Enter the command homepagesetupThis creates a
  directory (folder) in your account named
  public_html and a dummy home page named
  home.html.
• To be visible to the public, all Web pages and
  images must be located in the public_html
  directory

• Click the WS_Ftp icon on the desktop
• Or find WS_Ftp on the Start gt Programs menu

Things to remember...

• Your first or opening page must be named
  home.html
• Never delete or erase the .htaccess file - it
  is necessary for Web pages to be visible
• A copy of .htaccess must be in any
  subdirectories of public_html also

• You can rename or delete files

  after any changes
