2SPED Opening Form
A sign in front of an item means that the
item is expandable. Click on the sign for
sub-categories.
3SPED Opening Form
A - sign in front of an item means that the
item has been expanded. Click on the- sign
to collapse the category and hide the
sub-categories..
4SPED Opening Form
When Bold is selected, the headings are
displayed in bold font.
5SPED Button Bar
When Images is selected, the Staff, Folder,
Checkmark and Note icons are displayed.
6SPED Button Bar
- At the right side of the screen are button bars.
These are shortcut functions to the SPED program.
They are organized into three secitons - File functions
- Information buttons
- Document Management functions
7SPED Button Bar
- File Functions The top 3 buttons are the most
frequently used buttons when you are writing an
IPP - The top button is the Add Button.
- The middle button is the Edit Button.
- The 3rd button is the Delete Button
Note if you hold the cursor over a button its
name will pop up.

- Information Buttons The next 6 buttons provide
specific student information about - Contacts
- Attendance
- Discipline (not in use at CBE)
- Events and Activities (some schools are using
this module) - Marks (Junior and Senior High School)
- Grades History (Junior and Senior High School)
- Navigation buttons allow you to expand and move
up and down within each branch of the navigation
tree.
9SPED Button Bar
- Document Management Functions the next three
buttons help you manage documents - The Printer Button is a convenient way to
initiate the printing of an IPP. - IPP Progress Button this will show a list of
functions and number of entries under each title. - Refresh Screen Button
10Youre It! Ownership on Forms
When an Authors username is identified on a
form, that person is the owner of the form.
Other team members can read the information on
the form, but they cannot add, edit or delete
information.
11To Cancel or Exit Save?
IMPORTANT If you press the X on the top right of
a form, you will exit and save. Some forms have
a Cancel button on them. If you have accessed a
form by mistake, use the Cancel button to leave
the form and no data will be saved.
12To Cancel or Exit Save?
When you click the Cancel button, this
information box will appear. Click Yes if you
dont want to save the information. Click No if
you want to edit the information before saving.
13To Cancel or Exit Save?
When you are satisfied with the information in a
screen, press the X button to exit and save the
information.
14Tabs and Buttons on Forms
These are tabs. Clicking on a tab moves you to
an input screen for that area.
15Tabs and Buttons on Forms
Buttons like this indicate that a date is
required for the field. Click this button to
reveal a calendar from which you can select a
date.
16Tabs and Buttons on Forms
Buttons like this indicate there is a table
attached to this field. Click on the button to
see the values that can be selected. If you want
to make an entry other than one in the list,
select Other from the list
