Title: TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT
1TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT
The Baby Basics HEALTH EDUCATION Program
New York City August 5 6
21st You gave moms The Baby Basics BOOK
Because every mom deserves to receive beautiful,
comprehensive, and engaging, information she
wants to read so she can have a healthy
pregnancy.
3Then, You gave her The Baby Basics planner
Because every mom should own her health
information. The planner helps her track
question and answers, and helps you prepare her
for check-ups. So everyone is on the same page.
4 NOW, Give her the BABY BASICS
pROGRAM
(And the health literacy skills to read,
understand and act upon
prenatal information)
Simply paging through a Baby Basics you see how
worthwhile it is for a participant but the
programming and training make the book (and the
Moms Club Curriculum) a useful tool.
Baby Basics Case
Manager, Cleveland, OH As you know, I have
been a fan of Baby Basics for a few years now,
but it has increased 10-fold now that I have
participated in the training, and have a more
comprehensive understanding of the philosophy of
the Foundation and the deliberate thoughtfulness
that went into the creation of the book and
planner. Baby Basics Network Program Coordinator,
Palm Beach County, FL

9A LETTER FROM CLEVELAND
- "The Baby Basics training itself is a wonderful
opportunity to learn more about the literacy
challenges that our participants are experiencing
and, more importantly, how to assist them as they
navigate those challenges. It is one thing to
provide a participant with reading materials, as
our program is very accustomed to doing, but it
is quite another to make that reading material
approachable and effective for the participant.
The Baby Basics Program provides the information
for our case workers to feel confident in
assisting participants with varying reading
comprehension skills. -
- Kelly Lubeck is a phenomenal trainer with
endless energy. Above all, she was able to
engage our audience, which has been a
considerable challenge in other trainings. Too
often, trainers come in and do not know anything
about who we are or what we do. This was not the
case with Kelly. It was very clear that she had
done her research about us and it made a
tremendous difference to all involved. - Megan Walsh, LISW
