• 16 hour (2 day) course
• 12 students max.
• Covers the fundamentals of safe lifting and
  rigging techniques including
• Chain lever hoist usage
• Sling hitches sling angle
• Knots fiber rope
• Wire rope
• Load calculation stability
• Safe practice working around loads

The Rigging

• All necessary rigging accessories to do the
  practical projects are contained in a portable
  rigging container
• The container measures 8 X 8 X 8

  the shop floor!!

What SIAST Provides

• All equipment required to perform the lifts
  including slings, shackles and accessories.
• All instructional aides including PowerPoint
  presentations, projector, laptop, VCR.
• All theory based materials including reference
  books, worksheets, exams, etc.

What the Customer Provides

• A suitable working area of appropriate size (20
  X 30 minimum) and noise level
• A suitable room to teach the theory component
  including proper seating, white boards, etc.
• Note consultation with instructor would be
  advised

• Upon successful completion students will receive
  a wallet sized course completion card
