4Another name for a memorial is a Landmark.
5Proverbs 2228 Remove not the ancient landmark,
which thy fathers have set Deu 2717 Cursed be
he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And
all the people shall say, Amen.
6Why are landmarks important?
- They cause us to remember, the past
- They let us know our boundaries
- They show a great triumph or possibly a great
defeat in our life. - What would be a landmark in your life?
- Drivers License, Diploma, Etc.
- First Date, First speeding ticket, Etc.
- The day you were saved
7So, how does Landmarks help us?
Josh 218 Behold, when we come into the land,

8What happened
- Rahab knew her city was going to be destroyed,
she didnt want to be destroyed - She said I helped you, you help me
- But everybodys house looks the same, how do I
know where you are, - Ill leave this cord out the same one you used to
escape with, remember this landmark

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this
night, and will smite all the firstborn in the
land of Egypt, both man and beast and against
all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment I
am the LORD. gods or, princes 13 And the
blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses
where ye are and when I see the blood, I will
pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon
you to destroy you, when I smite the land of
Egypt. to destroy... Heb. for a destruction
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial
and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD
throughout your generations ye shall keep it a
feast by an ordinance for ever.
10What it means
- God passed his judgment on Egypt and anyone who
did not have the blood covering - Even the Jews if they did not have the blood on
their doorpost would have their firstborn son die - This was a landmark, to know who would not be
killed
11Conclusion
The Bible and even your life is filled with
landmarks or memorials, things that are used to
help us remember where weve been, and where we
are going. Landmarks are there to show are
successes and our failures, but most of all to
make us aware of just who we are.
12Application
- Some are unaware of landmarks parents, teachers,
and friends have already set before them, and our
content to ignore what they see. - Some of you have removed your landmarks, you see
past mistakes, but continue to make the same ones
over and over - Some need to remember where some of their
landmarks are and every once in awhile remember
what they mean to you. - Some of you may be missing the greatest landmark
of all Salvation, Today is the day to plant that
landmark n your life.
