• Sub-group on Compliance Formed
• David Ling (HP) Chair
• Explore the need for a compliance program for the
  revised 1625 standard in the context of all
  potential options (with the possibility that an
  option would be no program). The subgroup would
  return a recommendation to the working group by
  the end of the working group development phase
  (i.e., before the sponsor ballot begins).

Drivers for a Conformity Assessment Program at
IEEE

• Service to standards developers- can facilitate
  market implementation
• Changes/improvements can be incorporated in IEEE
  standards

• Need to protect IEEE trademarks and brand from
  misuse
• Leverage IEEE-SA and IEEE-ISTO capabilities to

  pursued its deliverables and goals with weekly
  meetings
• Industry support for IEEE 1625 revision with the
  evaluation of a possible compliance program.

  support of IEEE Standards.
