• I chose the song Lean On Me because of the fact
  that it has a lot of the same descriptions that
  Lenny and George had in their friendship. They
  both needed each other and depended on each other
  for emotional and physical support.

• I chose this song because it shows how George
  was really torn by the killing of Lenny.
  Sometimes death can be a bittersweet thing when
  people are going to suffer more in person.

  has a similar message to the one in the movie
  about being so driven that you begin to lose
  yourself and the people you love.

• I chose this song because it was a really good
  example of how people do very careless this and
  then fail to take responsibility for their
  actions. This song shows how people then continue
  to do stupid things when they dont know how to
  take responsibility.

DISCRIMINATIONGlory

• The movies main theme was racism because of
  the Civil War and the South. The song that I
  chose was Southern Man because it really brought
  the southern views and discrimination to the
  forefront. It expanded on the idea that racism
  was still going on strong in the south.

• I chose this song because it shows the way we,
  as a society, romanticize heroes and war in our
  minds when it is actually a painfully tragic
  event that deeply scars us.

• There's a hero if you look inside your heart.

  There's an answer if you reach into your soul
  and the sorrow that you know will melt away.

  to carry on and you cast your fears aside and you
