Accommodation and full board are covered by the
IGC. You are asked to find financial support for
your travel by yourself. The Summer School will
take place at the historical Schloss Hasenwinkel,
a mansion built in 1908 in the classical style of
Pomeranian farm houses. Situated between Wismar
and Schwerin, Schloss Hasenwinkel lies amid the
enchanting landscape of the Pomeranian Bay, not
far from the city of Schwerin and the Baltic Sea
region with its beautiful coastline. Applications
including the application form, your curriculum
vitae, and the reference form should be directed
to muriel.helbig_at_uni-jena.de or IGC Summer School
Office, University of Jena, Wildstrasse 1, 07743
Jena, Germany.
The Summer School is part of the study programme
of the International Graduate College Conflict
and Cooperation between Social Groups, an
interdisciplinary, multi-site integrative
graduate education and research traineeship
program. It is a collaborative effort of four
centres of intergroup research at the
Universities of Jena (Germany), Kent and Sussex
(United Kingdom), and Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).
The summer school consists of four parallel
workshops. After a general introduction of the
workshop topic by the teachers, participants
develop research ideas in small groups. These
ideas are discussed with and presented to the
plenum on the final day. In addition, there are
opportunities for individual consultation and
advising.
Applications will be accepted until July 6,
2007. Detailed information and application forms
are available on http//www2.uni-jena.de/svw/igc.
