Grace Abounds

• The Bible teaches that every part of your being
  (intellect, emotions, and will), are tainted by
  sin, and this is what we call total depravity.
• We lost our free will to glorify God in all that
  we say and do at the Fallbecause we are
  spiritually separated from Godwe are dead to Him.

Born Again

• Jesus said to Nicodemus You must be born
  again! You must be made alive spiritually first,
  and this is something that the Holy Spirit of God
  has to do. John 33.
• And when he comes, he will convince the world of
  its sin, and of Gods righteousness, and of the
  coming judgment. 9The worlds sin is unbelief in
  me. John 168,9 NLT

A New Start!

• He begins to feel regret and sorrow for his sin,
  and he begins to see what his sin has costfor
  himself, others, and God.
• A person begins to understand the facts about sin
  and his sin in particular.
• He chooses to turn around and walk Gods way.

Grace Begins

• Once you were dead, doomed forever because of
  your many sins. 2You used to live just like the
  rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan,
  the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is
  the spirit at work in the hearts of those who
  refuse to obey God. 3All of us used to live that
  way, following the passions and desires of our
  evil nature. We were born with an evil nature,
  and we were under Gods anger just like everyone
  else. Ephesians 21-3 NLT

Gods Solution

• But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so
  very much, 5that even while we were dead because
  of our sins, he gave us life when he raised
  Christ from the dead. (It is only by Gods
  special favor grace that you have been saved!)
  6For he raised us from the dead along with
  Christ, and we are seated with him in the
  heavenly realmsall because we are one with
  Christ Jesus. 7And so God can always point to us
  as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor
  grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all
  he has done for us through Christ Jesus. Eph.
  24-7 NLT

Grace through Faith

• 8I mean that you have been saved by grace through
  believing. You did not save yourselves it was a
  gift from God. 9It was not the result of your own
  efforts, so you cannot brag about it. New
  Century Version
• Because of his kindness, you have been saved
  through trusting Christ. And even trusting is not
  of yourselves it too is a gift from God.
  9Salvation is not a reward for the good we have
  done, so none of us can take any credit for it.

No Reward

• When a person works an eight-hour day and
  receives a fair day's pay for his time, that is a
  wage. When a person competes with an opponent and
  receives a trophy for his performance, that is a
  prize. When a person receives appropriate
  recognition for his long service or high
  achievements, that is an award. But when a person
  is not capable of earning a wage, can win no
  prize, and deserves no award--yet receives such a
  gift anyway--that is a good picture of God's
  unmerited favor. This is what we mean when we

Declared Righteous

Faith plus NOTHING

• Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be
  saved. Acts 1631 NLT
• For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is
  Lord and believe in your heart that God raised
  him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 109

  gave the right to become children of God. 13They
