Using the Mobile Lab
  • Plug in the mobile cart (power cord marked with
    red tape) and connect its Ethernet cable to a
    network outlet in the room.

Using the Mobile Lab
  • Unlock and open the cart doors.
  • As laptops are removed from the cart shelves,
    unplug the power supply cable from the laptops
    and then distribute to students.

Starting
  • Open display press display latch and open cover
  • Avoid touching screen
  • Press the power switch to start the system.

Using the Cursor
  • Touch pad or track stick is used to move cursor.
  • A set of left and right touch pad/track stick
    buttons are located below space bar and touch pad.

Using the System
  • Log in with username and password
  • If login is unsuccessful, retry password
  • Or, try another system
  • Or, visit the computer lab
  • Battery life can be monitored
  • It is possible to manually connect to any of the
    three access points

VNC Viewer
  • View and control laptop systems
  • Click on Admin Utilities folder
  • Double-click on VNC Viewer icon
  • Enter computer number to view (e.g., R1, R2, R3,
    etc.)
  • Click OK
  • Enter password

  • Paper tray capacity 100 sheets
  • Print jobs can be sent to the HP deskjet 5550 on
    the cart or they can also be directed to the LMC
    printers if selected during the printing process.

Closing
  • Shut down utilizing the lower left START button
    on the task bar and then click SHUTDOWN
  • Remove all pencils, pens, etc. from surface of
    laptop keyboard area
