InfoView Login
The InfoView home page will then appear. You may
want to add this to your browsers favourites.

Username/Password
Enter your BusinessObjects username and password
then click the OK button.

InfoView Home Page
By default, this is the page you see when you log
in. It is possible to change the default so that
you go straight into the list of Corporate
Documents or your list of Personal Documents.

Accessing Corporate Documents
To see the documents stored in the central
repository, click Corporate Documents on the
Navigation Bar.

Corporate Documents Compact View
The documents currently available to you are
listed in alphabetical order. To view a
document, click the document name.

Corporate Documents Expanded View
Scroll down the list and view the descriptions.
As in Compact view, to display a document, click
the document name. In this example, we will view
the report spi_dept_catnot120

Refreshing a Report
The report is displayed showing the data
retrieved when the report was last run.

After a short while, the refreshed report will be
displayed.

Print Save Report
Click the print button within the report viewer
(not the browser print button) to print the
report to your attached printer. N.B. If you
want to print the report to a networked printer,
you will need to make some changes to your
Options. For instructions on how to do this,
please see Document Viewer Options in Changing
InfoView Options.

Save Options
  • When you save a document, you can
  • Rename the report to something more meaningful
  • Amend the description (or add one if it is
    missing)
  • Select a category for it to be saved to
  • Select whether any existing document with the
    same name should be overwritten.

Saving to a Category
Now whenever you save a document, you can select
the category to be used.

Displaying a Category
Only those documents you have saved to the
selected category will be displayed. Selecting
All Categories from the drop down list will
display all documents again.
