Course Description
  • This course focuses on introduction of
    practical methods for the research process. The
    course presents how to design the research
    strategies, collect data, analyse data and report
    the results. Research skills and knowledge of
    the research process are essential in an
    information-rich world. In general, the
    management of tourism, leisure, hotel and sport
    organization can be enhanced by the analysis of
    existing information, regularly collected
    management data and information collected to
    answer specific management questions. The course
    will cover the development of designing the
    research of interest and gathering information in
    reliable and valid ways. Furthermore, the case
    study will be performed in class to understand
    how to present, describe and interpret the result
    of data analysis.

Course policy
  • All students have to prepare lesson and discuss
    actively in class.
  • The assignments and case studies are presented in
    class and some students are assigned to prepare
    the presentation.
  • Debate is recommended and considered in your
    grade.

Case studies
  • All of students work on case studies presented in
    textbook. You should analyse the data given in
    case studies and present the results upon
    request. In addition, the written report should
    be handed out by due date.
