• Superior Cognitive (I.Q. 130)
• Specific Academic (95 or higher on an approved
  achievement test)

• Creative Thinking (I.Q. score and rating scale)

Gifted in Mentor

• Approximately 7 of our student population is
  identified as gifted in the area of Superior
  Cognitive (Composite IQ of 130)
• Out of the 379 students in grades 3 through 8 who
  are identified as Superior Cognitive gifted, only
  280 are served through Quest as a pullout
  program.
• Over 1,500 students are identified as gifted in
  at least one of the seven categories that is
  17 of our student population.

• Gifted students are gifted all day every day.
• Gifted education is not the responsibility of one
  teacher.
• Gifted education includes strategies and
  techniques that meet the needs of gifted students
  gifted education is not a place.

Gifted Intervention Specialists

• Collaborate with regular classroom teachers.
• Plan with and provide lessons and materials to
  teachers.
• Meet with students in small groups, one-on-one,
  or whole class.
• Incorporate special projects and activities into
  the regular class.
