Acceptable Use of Electronic Communication
Systems ECS Round Rock ISD
The Round Rock ISD policy on acceptable use of
its Electronic Communications System (ECS) can be
accessed on the Texas Association of School
Boards Policy Online. The URLs are provided in
the webliography at the end of this course.

ECS includes

includes (but is not limited to) the districts
email system,

the districts gradebook program

And curriculum management tools.

The District's ECS

• is available for students, employees, and other
  authorized users ONLY!
• The ECS is to be used primarily for educational
  and administrative purposes.
• Because use of the districts ECS is a privilege,
  not a right, students or staff who fail to follow
  district Acceptable Use guidelines may lose
  access to the ECS.
• The ECS is provided on an as is, as available
  basis which means there is a possibility of
  network downtime. This means the District makes
  no guarantees about the availability or accuracy
  of the network or the programs on it.
