________ The museum specialises in the
preservation of internal combustion engines. It
aims to tell the story of the engine from the
cannon, then steam engines through to the
sophisticated, electronically controlled engine
of the future. Recognised as the Countrys
specialist museum for engines it has been loaned
iconic engines from the National Collection. On
arrival at the museum we give the group an
overview of the background, purpose and
aspirations of the museum (this includes a short
video). We then take them around some of our key
engine exhibits and describe the history and
significance of the engine and run a great many
of them. The group then has free time to go
round the rest of the museum and we will start
other engines over the period. Max No. 65 Min
