Santiago Canyon College (SCC) History/Background

• Located in Orange, CA
• Serves 12,600 students
• 2007-08 school year, received grant funding for
  creating a Career Technical Education (CTE)
  Teacher Preparation Pipeline Program
• Designed to address shortage of instructors _at_
  high school community college levels
• Coined program, CTE Teach!

• Now in our second year of funding, CTE Teach has
  widened its focus to include
• Water Utility Science
• Distribution, Treatment and/or Wastewater fields

  facilities and to ensure safe community
  development and construction
