Definition of Division

• The Algebraic Definition of Division allows any
  division situation to be converted to
  multiplication.
• Multiply by the reciprocal
• Ex. 4 2/3

• You take the division problem and turn it into a
  multiplication problem but you have to turn the
  number being divided to its reciprocal.

• You multiply the numerators together and then the
  denominators together and you get your answer
  unless it needs to be simplified.
