2Jesus Is Taken Before Pilate
- Matthew 271, 2

- Now when morning had come, all the chief priests
and the elders of the people took counsel against
Jesus to put Him to death and they bound Him,
and led Him away, and delivered Him up to Pilate
the governor.
3Judas Feels Remorse
- Matthew 273
- Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that
He had been condemned, he felt remorse and
returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief
priests and elders,
4Chief Priests and Elders Did not Feel Remorse

- . . . Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you
that the tax-gatherers and harlots will get into
the kingdom of God before you. For John came to
you in the way of righteousness and you did not
believe him but the tax-gatherers and harlots

called the Field of Blood to this day.

whose price had been set by the sons of Israel
and they gave them for the Potter's Field, as the
Lord directed me.

release for you?" And they said, "Barabbas."

Jesus who is called Christ? They all said, Let
Him be crucified! And he said, Why, what evil
has He done? But they kept shouting all the

nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he
took water and washed his hands in front of the
multitude, saying, I am innocent of this Man's
