  • To define these, ML provides concepts from the
    parent language, Standard Generalized Markup
    Language (SGML), known as Document Type
    Definitions (DTDs)
  • Extensible Markup Language (XML), which specifies
    SGML features that Web markup applications share.
  • XML has quickly become the most implemented of
    the W3C.
  • The X3D XML tagset is a lightweight 3D media
    file format supporting an API and runtime. That
    is interoperable with 2D Web standards.
