5Continuous Evaluation ProcessHow do we use it?
- Necessary to evaluate the individuals
post-adjudication activities (the period of time
after clearance is adjudicated and before a
Periodic Reinvestigation (PR) is due). - Must recognize adverse changes in individuals
lives which create substantial doubt as to their
qualifications. - Must ensure the individual is still loyal,
trustworthy, and reliable.

Agency Chief Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a program to continuously
evaluate the status of individuals under their
jurisdiction with respect to security
eligibility. - Ensure individuals assigned to sensitive duties
are initially indoctrinated and periodically
instructed thereafter on the national security
implications of their duties and their individual
responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- As part of initial and recurring Security
Education Program, provide foreign travel
briefing information to assigned or associate
personnel. - Annotate briefings in the program continuity
book and include reporting procedures. - NOTE This briefing does not take the place of
the AFOSI Foreign Travel Briefing, which is
required for overseas travel and foreign contact.

Co-worker Responsibilities
- First to know of any derogatory information
- May observe changes in behavior pattern
- Notice individual receiving derogatory phone
calls from creditors, ex-spouses, neighbors, etc. - Know of any safety violations by the individual
- Obligated to report derogatory information
promptly to Supervisor or Security Manager

Responsibilities
- Report any self-derogatory information
- The most knowledgeable source of personal
information - Individuals having access to classified
information or performing sensitive duties are
required by DoD 5200.2-R to notify their
supervisor when personal actions or circumstances
violate the adjudication guidelines - Usually unreliable in self-identifying and
reporting

- Personnel who knowingly, willfully, or
negligently disclose to unauthorized persons
information properly classified under
Presidential Executive Order 12958 or predecessor
orders classify or continue the classification
of information in violation of this order or any
implementing directive create or continue a
special access program contrary to the
requirements of this order or contravene any
other provision of this order or its implementing
directives are subject to sanctions that include - Reprimand, suspension without pay, removal,
termination of classification authority, loss or
denial of access to classified information or
other sanctions in accordance with applicable law
and agency regulation.
