Writing Objectives

• What the students should be able to do at the
  end of a learning period that they could not do
  beforehand. (Mager, 1962)

Well written educational objectives -

• Are student oriented
• Give a description of the learning outcome
  desired
• Are clear and understandable
• Are observable

Well written educational objectives are NOT-

• A description of an activity
• A description of what the teacher does
• Written using know, think, grasp, understand,
  remember
