20- The CWEF is committed to the enhancement of
the educational opportunities for the needy
children. Its assistance program is divided into
3 chapters, Indian, Canadian, and Kenyan.
21- As regards the Indian Chapter, in the year
2006-07 our organization will assist 400 mothers
and their 500 children studying in 24
institutions in 8 states of India. - We are very thankful to the headmasters,
principals, and teachers of these schools and
colleges for their volunteer work in assisting us
in different ways.
22- The Canadian Chapter has made a breakthrough
in this academic year by purchasing leveled
reading textbooks worth 2000 for General Brock
Elementary School children. Another school has
also expressed interest in receiving our donation
of books.
23- The Kenyan Chapter is now organized, and has
launched its project of educationally helping
children affected by AIDS in some way, which is
the main concern of this Chapter. A few schools
are identified and their Principals have been
contacted. An amount of 1000 has been sent to
Kalaniketan Shishukunj, a childrens organization
in Nairobi. It is felt that 100 will be
sufficient to provide books and uniforms for one
child for a school year.
