Student Expectations

• Arrive before the bell
• Yellow pass
• Wear the BHS ID
• Work quietly and do not disrupt other students
• Please put away all food and drinks

BHS Student Handbook Expectations

• No outerwear
• No cell phone use
• No other electronics use, such as pagers, games,
  etc.

Books

• Your student ID is your library card
• Books check out for two weeks
• Reference books check out for one day

• Courier News
• Chicago Tribune
• Daily Herald

Fines for Late Books

• Three days grace
• Ten cents a day
• The fourth day is 40 cents
• Reference books are 25 cents a day, no grace
  period

Computer Lab Expectations

• District Internet Use Agreement Policy
• Do not change any file on the computer
• Do not try to circumvent the filter
• No food or drinks in the computer lab
• No game playing
• Do not plug in your iPod, etc

Copy machine

• There is a coin copy machine
• Ten cents a page
• Good for heavy reference books or books on
  reserve

• Volunteer during your lunch or study hall
• Take attendance
• Check in and check out books
• Stamp date due cards
• Process new books
• Shelve books
