Introduction

• The world we live in is a great place.
• We have many rainforest, waterfalls, allies, and
  of course money.
• But not everyone has money. Those who dont or
  get less than 2 a week are in poverty.

Causes of poverty

• The country may have bad finances.
• The country may have lack of education
• Crime, drugs, and disease.
• The country may have experienced a natural
  disaster.

Effects of poverty

• Over billions of people or about one out of six
  live in poverty.
• People living in the U.S. who live in poverty are
  paid less than 2 a week.
• The GDP (Gross Domestic Income) of the 48 poorest
  nations is less than the wealth of the three
  richest people combined.
• About a billion people entered 21 century not be
  able to read or sign their own name.

• 1 billion children live in poverty.
• 640 million dont have good homes to live in
• 400 million dont have clean water to drink
• 270 million dont have any healthcare or not
  available to the service.
• 10.6 million children died in 2003 before the age
  of 5.
• Every day, almost 16,000 children die from
  hunger-related causes--one child every five
  seconds.

What we can do help prevent this in the future?

• We can help by giving clothes to the needy in
  different countries and ours.
• The wealthier people can help to build homes for
  the homeless or give donations.
• Water, sanitation and hygiene projects that can
  enable healthier households.
• Farming innovations that can result in better
  nutrition.
• Family planning projects that can help mothers
  and children become more healthy.
• Talking among the community about education.
• Adopt a family to help pay for the childs
  education.
