Submitting Programs
  • man submit
  • submit cmps012a-cm hw1 Code.java
  • puts Code.java in /afs/cats/class/cmps012a-cm/hw1
    /username
  • peek, accept_homework, noaccept_homework
  • suggest moving hwX to .LOCKED
  • students can actually use regular unix commands
    (e.g. mv, rm) on their on hw subdir
  • .log in hwX dir logs all submits with md5
    signatures

In The Lab
  • Dont touch a students keyboard or mouse.
  • Be proactive - if they dont ask questions walk
    around asking them questions.
  • Create a waiting list on the chalkboard if
    necessary.
  • Encourage them to ask a neighbor for help (if
    collaboration policy allows it).
  • Get you instructor to allow pair programming
