15
  • KIDS KLUB ANTI-BULLYING POLICY
  • Rationale

  • The purpose of this policy is to promote
consistency of approach and to create a climate
in which all types of bullying
  • are regarded as unacceptable. Attitudes and
practices can contribute to bullying, to lower
    levels of confidence, self-
  • esteem and lack of achievement.
  • Aims

  • To promote a secure and happy environment free
from threat, harassment and any type of bullying
    behaviour
  • To show commitment to overcoming bullying by
    practising zero tolerance.
  • To inform kids and parents of Kids Klubs
expectations and to foster a productive
    partnership, which helps maintain a
  • bully-free environment.
  • To make leaders aware of their role in fostering
the knowledge and attitudes required to achieve
    the above aims.
  • Achieving Aims

  • The curriculum underpins a belief in valuing
people as individuals and their right to a
    bully-free environment.
  • The stated aims will be further achieved through
Kids Klubs policies and programmes already in
    practice.
  • The Leaders Responsibilities

16
  • KIDS KLUB VOLUNTEER POLICY
  • All who volunteer their services to Kids Klub
will have their offers dealt with promptly and
    courteously.
  • It is recognised that the contribution of
volunteers is of great importance to the project
their involvement is essential to the overall
running and success of the organisation.
  • The involvement of volunteers will be encouraged
    and supported wherever possible.
  • The volunteer should be aware of and in agreement
with the aims of Kids Klub.
  • The volunteer should be aware of all policy of
    the organisation
  • The volunteer should have a clear agreement as to
the tasks they are being asked to undertake.
  • They should have a clear understanding of the
time commitment they are agreeing to.
  • They should know to whom they are they
responsible and who is responsible for supporting
    them in their role.
  • They should be willing to be police checked
according to the Churchs Child Protection Policy
  • Training will be offered to all volunteers and in
some cases this may be compulsory e.g. Child
    Protection
  • Decision making within Kids klub will take into
account the role of the volunteer and management
will endeavor to involve volunteers at an
appropriate level in decision making involving
    any major changes.
  • There will be annual reviews with all volunteers
to ensure that their willingness to continue is
    agreed.
