Introduction
  • Microsoft, the life and livelihood of
    multibillionaire Bill Gates, could easily be
    considered a major contender, if not King of the
    software industry. One major niche in the
    software market is Microsofts operating systems
    (OS), which laid the foundation for the way the
    computer industry would grow in the future. It
    began the new era in computing with its Windows
    3.0 series, last release in 1992 (excluding the
    1995 NT version), creating a whole new way do to
    work on the computer, making it a more user
    friendly environment than its previous operating
    system DOS.
